Battlefield Road/Route 65 Interchange Reconstruction Project
Update for Week of March 9, 2015
REMINDER: Battlefield Road at Route 65 CLOSED and Route 65 reduced to one lane with traffic routed over ramps for partial bridge demolition. The traffic impacts last from 11 p.m. Saturday, March 7, until 6 a.m. Monday, March 9.
Work Scheduled:

Building retaining walls and installing supports for new bridge along northbound and southbound Route 65 under Battlefield Road

Grading rock and pouring concrete along outside shoulders of Route 65 underneath Battlefield Road for future traffic shift away from median

Grading rock and dirt along southbound shoulder of Route 65 between Sunshine Street and Battlefield Road for new auxiliary lane

Breaking up rock and hauling it away along northbound shoulder of Route 65 between Battlefield Road and Sunshine Street for new auxiliary lane

Hauling rock and dirt from ramp areas south of Battlefield Road

Work hours: 11 p.m. Saturday, March 7, to 6 a.m. Monday, March 9. Contractor allowed to start one hour earlier due to Daylight Saving Time.

Route 65 reduced to one lane in each direction with traffic routed up and over ramps at interchange during 30 hour closing

Battlefield Road over Route 65 CLOSED to ALL traffic

No right turns onto or off of ramps at interchange

TRAFFIC CONGESTIONon Battlefield Road at Route 65. One lane open in each direction until August or September in diverging diamond traffic pattern.

Lane closings possible on Route 65 and on Battlefield Road at times. Lane closings occurring at lower traffic volume times.
