Battlefield Road CLOSED weekend of Feb. 14 for conversion to Diverging Diamond. WATCH FOR DETAILED INFORMATION WEEK OF FEB. 9.

Southbound Route 65 lane closings at times between Sunshine Street and Battlefield Road
Work Scheduled:

Removing concrete island on Battlefield Road at Route 65

Installing pavement striping on Battlefield Road for weekend conversion to diverging diamond
-
Removing shoulders and grading rock and dirt along southbound Route 65 for auxiliary lane between Sunshine Street and Battlefield Road

Breaking rock and grading dirt in areas along northbound Route 65 for auxiliary lane between Battlefield Road and Sunshine Street

Hauling rock and dirt from ramp areas to storage areas
Traffic Impacts:

Battlefield Road CLOSED at Route 65 between Saturday night, February 14, and Monday morning, February 16. Exact times and traffic impacts to be announced early next week.

Southbound Route 65 lane closings possible at times. Lanes only closed during lower traffic volume times.

Short-term traffic stops on Route 65 ramps at times to allow trucks to enter and leave work areas
(Weather or construction delays could alter the work schedule.)
Project Summary:

Replace Battlefield Road bridge over Route 65

Convert interchange to a Diverging Diamond configuration

Build northbound and southbound auxiliary lanes on Route 65 to connect Sunshine Street and Battlefield Road ramps

Install new traffic signal at Battlefield Road and Woodstock Avenue

Completion Date: September 2015
Total Project Cost: $12.5 million.
