No lane closings during the Memorial Day holiday weekend

Southbound on ramp from Battlefield Road to U.S. Route 65 CLOSED at night for paving beginning Tuesday night, May 26
Work Scheduled:

Rebuilding and widening southbound on ramp from Battlefield Road to Route 65

Pouring concrete for a bridge approach on the west side of the new Battlefield Road bridge over Route 65
-
Grading slopes along the new northbound Route 65 auxiliary lane between Battlefield Road and Sunshine Street
-
Applying grass seed and mulch along the southbound lanes of Route 65 between Sunshine Street and Battlefield Road and along the new southbound off ramp from Route 65 to Battlefield Road

Relocating utilities along Battlefield Road near Woodstock Avenue
Traffic Impacts:

NIGHT WORK:Southbound on ramp from Battlefield Road to Route 65 CLOSED at night. Work hours: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Friday nights. Ramp open during daytime hours.

All six lanes of Route 65 shifted AWAY from median at Battlefield Road

TRAFFIC CONGESTIONon Battlefield Road at Route 65. One lane open in each direction in diverging diamond traffic pattern.

Lane closings possible at times on Route 65 during lower traffic volume times

Route 65 speed limit reduced to 50 mph during lane closings

Crews and equipment entering and leaving work areas
(Weather or construction delays could alter the work schedule.)
Project Summary:

Replace Battlefield Road bridge over Route 65 one-half at a time

Convert interchange to a Diverging Diamond configuration

Build northbound and southbound auxiliary lanes on Route 65 to connect Sunshine Street and Battlefield Road ramps

Install new traffic signal at Battlefield Road and Woodstock Avenue

Total Project Cost: $12.5 million.
