Mount Vernon Street and Orchard Crest Avenue intersection to close Monday for six weeks

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Construction activities for the Mount Vernon Street and Orchard Crest Avenue Intersection Improvement Project will require a full closure of the intersection starting at 6 a.m., Monday, Nov. 3.

Mount Vernon Street and Orchard Crest Avenue will be closed to through traffic for approximately six weeks, weather permitting. Signage will be in place to notify motorist of the planned closure and detour signs will be positioned to route traffic around the construction.

Hartman and Company, Inc. of Springfield is currently performing the work for this project under contract with the City of Springfield. The City anticipates the project concluding by the end of January 2015 and appreciates your cooperation.
