Webster Street Closed at Railroad Crossing

Webster Street to close at railway crossing starting at 8 a.m. Thursday, reopening May 18

Starting at 8 a.m., Thursday, May 7, Webster Street will be closed at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad crossing at 1100 E. Webster for BNSF’s replacement of the road surface and railroad crossing there. BNSF plans to reopen the crossing Monday, May 18, weather permitting.

This project has been accelerated through a cost-share partnership between the City of Springfield and the BNSF Railway Company, with the City funds provided by the 1/8-cent Transportation Sales Tax.
